Value Place Amarillo is conveniently located off of I-40 and Eastern St., exit 73, just minutes away from the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum and various other attractions. This area offers something for everyone – shopping, dining, recreation and more. Amarillo is known as “The Yellow Rose of Texas” – "amarillo" is the Spanish word for yellow. Amarillo got its start as a cattle town, so cattle and ranching are still a large part of the local economy. 


If you love the outdoors Amarillo has all kinds of options for you. The Palo Duro Canyon State Park is the second largest canyon in the US only behind the Grand Canyon. It is located just south of Amarillo. The Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument is also near the city and is special because prehistoric inhabitants used it as a place to gather flint to make tools. And of course while in town you must visit the famous Cadillac Ranch just west of the city.

Reservation Policies

  • A $100 deposit is required upon check-in and is refundable after room inspection.
  • Canceling your reservation after 3 p.m. (local time) on day of arrival may result in a cancellation fee.
  • Office hours vary by location.
  • Value Place accepts cash or major credit cards for reservations and payments. Checks are not accepted.
  • Pets are not allowed with the exception of service animals.
  • Children age 17 and younger stay free and must be supervised by an adult at all times.
  • Additional Value Place guests, ages 18 and older, are charged $10 per week room occupancy
  • Rates subject to change without notice.
