Value Place Pleasant Hill is located just east of downtown Des Moines, Iowa at the intersection of E. University and the Hwy 65/5 Bypass. In addition to all our other great ammenities we NOW OFFER WiFi! Pleasant Hill is situated between the Iowa State Fairgrounds (home of the Iowa State Fair) and Prairie Meadows Race Track and Casino.  We chose to locate our Value Place in Pleasant Hill for the same reason people like living in Pleasant Hill – all the conveniences of the city, without the noise, traffic or expense. From our front door you can easily access a 16 mile bike trail. Just north is a Bass Pro Shop, horseracing track, casino, shopping area with Wal-Mart, Target and Lowes. In the business district of Pleasant Hill is a grocery store, fast food, restaurants, convenience stores, banks, hair salons, and hospitals. 

 

The city of Des Moines is located at the crossroads of Interstates 35 & 80. The area population exceeds a half million people and is home to The Principal, Aviva, EMC, Meredith Corporation, Pioneer, Wells Fargo, ING and Ruan.  Downtown Des Moines is only seven miles from Pleasant Hill and offers many business and entertainment opportunities including Wells Fargo Arena, Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium, the East Village (featuring boutique shops), and the new Pappajohn Sculpture Park with art valued at more than $40 million – truly a must-see!

Reservation Policies

  • A $100 deposit is required upon check-in and is refundable after room inspection.
  • Canceling your reservation after 3 p.m. (local time) on day of arrival may result in a cancellation fee.
  • Office hours vary by location.
  • Value Place accepts cash or major credit cards for reservations and payments. Checks are not accepted.
  • Pets are not allowed with the exception of service animals.
  • Children age 17 and younger stay free and must be supervised by an adult at all times.
  • Additional Value Place guests, ages 18 and older, are charged $10 per week room occupancy
  • Rates subject to change without notice.
