At This Location

Augusta Riverwatch conveniently located off I-20 exit 200 on Riverwatch Parkway.  Augusta has much to offer people that want to see history in the making. Throughout the area there are numerous historical and beautiful sights and during the year there is a multitude of events and celebrations.  Near the hotel there is a walkway around the Savannah River to the Imperial Theater where concerts are performed year round and West Augusta the home to historic Southern homes and other historic properties is just located one mile from the property.

Fort Gordon is close to the property.  It is an Army training base and the home of the Signal Towers, the heart of Army telecommunications training and its associated museum.  Augusta is the home of the famous Masters golf tournament held each year during the first week of April.  First Friday downtown is a monthly event on the first Friday of every month that offers a taste of the Augusta night life for everyone. This is a fun way to learn about southern hospitality in Augusta.

We also have the Hardy Festival in Harlem, Georgia which gives you an assortment of fun activities dealing with the history of Harlem.  Year round there are concerts at the James Brown Arena and we have Christmas in the South in July, November and December (yes, three times!!), as well as the annual Taste of Augusta, were you can eat foods and drinks from area restaurants while listening to an assortment of bands. On the Civil War aspect of the historic Augusta area, there is the nearby Augusta Canal which has a wonderful walking track and museum, as well as a ride on the Augusta Canal boat. Every year we also have two carnivals which last two weeks each -- one in Augusta and one just a few miles away in South Carolina.  Other annual events are Speed Motor Races on the Savannah River, Jazz on the River, and the Arts in the Hearts arts & craft fair. All of these events have many activities for all ages and fun for everyone!!
