Value Place Adds Kyle Rogg to Executive Leadership

Aug 09, 2011

(Wichita, Kan.) – Value Place, the largest economy extended stay lodging franchise in the U.S., announces the addition of new key company leadership. Kyle Rogg, Wichita native, joins the growing company as President and Chief Operations Officer, a role that will join together with long-standing Value Place CEO Greg Kossover and Chairman Jack DeBoer.

This addition of Rogg in executive leadership is a direct result of the company’s momentum in national property development, now with 175 branded locations coast to coast. Jack DeBoer, creator of lodging brands Residence Inn, Summerfield Suites and Candlewood Suites, established Value Place in 2002. Considered a game-changer for the extended stay hotel, lodging and apartment sectors, DeBoer and his team systemized the Value Place business model to ensure consistency across multiple properties with requirements such as newly constructed buildings, a 99-step cleaning process, and stringent quality assurance procedures.

Value Place has withstood the challenges of a down economy throughout the last few years due to the entrepreneurial foundation laid by DeBoer. Through a strategy of company and franchise growth, the company specifically seeks franchise relationships with those holding expertise in various industries. “In the short-term residential property market,” DeBoer said, “bringing in owners and executives from diverse backgrounds who appreciate the company’s value-based concept has proven to be an excellent fit for Value Place’s vision and growth, consistently providing original, innovative thinking to propel the Brand forward.”

Rogg brings a resourceful vision from Wichita’s Corporate Lodging Consultants, where he spent 15 years, most recently as Senior Vice President of Business Development, expanding the company’s customer base from 200 to 50,000 companies during this period. Value Place appreciates Rogg’s local history, as he is originally from Valley Center and resides in Wichita with his wife of 27 years and four children. He is a graduate of Friends University and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Kansas. He will be a key player with DeBoer and Kossover in driving Value Place’s rapid advancement in the short-term residential industry.

“I’ve had the opportunity over the years to work with some of Wichita’s most successful entrepreneurs.  I am excited to join Jack and Greg to help accelerate Value Place’s growth.  Their vision and Value Place’s unique position in the market provide an excellent platform for continued success,” said Rogg.

Value Place welcomes Rogg’s stewardship in growth as it continues to outperform industry peers; Revenue Per Available Week as of June 30 year-to-date shows the company portfolio is up ten percent over the same time last year, and the pipeline for franchise development is quickly accelerating with many existing franchisees initiating new projects for property expansion.

Value Place CEO Greg Kossover welcomes this addition to the company’s leadership team, stating, "Kyle possesses vast experience with business growth including business line responsibility, partner development, and business strategy. We welcome him to our Brand, as we continue to make Value Place a national household name that consumers will identify with value that is affordable, cleaner, safer, simple, and flexible.
